Nota Bene Cellars is looking for a sales person who is highly motivated and personable with strong communication skills. You must be able to build on existing as well as expanding relationships with current customers and cold call new accounts. Our winery has a list of over 70 accounts at retail wine shops and restaurants to prime your sales business. The Sales Agent would be responsible for making sales calls, taking orders and delivering wine. You would be compensated on a commission basis and you would be in charge of your own business, determine your hours and sales strategy. Requires individual to be well organized and participate in occasional evening and weekend events and conduct tastings. We would offer support and sales assistance by accompanying you on sales calls, prospecting new accounts and by being available for pouring wine at shops and events when requested. We will also assist you by sharing our experiences with our current customers and would expect to meet frequently to plan and coordinate sales strategy.
A strong candidate for the position should bring with them a good historical knowledge of the wine industry in the US and abroad and, above all, should have a deep appreciation for the quality of our local wines. You should also be aware of the challenges a sales position requires and be mature enough to appreciate the responsibility of presenting the face of our business to valued customers.
Comfortable with Excel spread sheets for inventory control
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and car
