Wine Scholar Certifications to be Offered at Northwest Wine Academy

Two Wine Scholar Certifications will be offered in upcoming quarters at Northwest Wine Academy.

Advanced Wines of the World France/French Wine Scholar Certification

This course will be offered Winter Quarter 2018 and will be taught by Tanya Morning Star Darling. The course covers the diverse regions & wines of France in depth over an entire quarter devoted exclusively to the wines of France; their history, culture, wines, traditions, current trends & exceptional producers. This course is a partnership between the Northwest Wine Academy & the Wine Scholar Guild, and through this course, students will have the opportunity to take the French Wine Scholar Certification exam, and achieve the prestigious FWS post-nominal. *Representative wines will be sampled in every class.

This course will be offered Spring Quarter 2018 and will be taught by Tanya Morning Star Darling. The course covers the diverse regions & wines of Italy in depth over an entire quarter devoted exclusively to Italy’s 20 wine regions; their history, culture, wines, traditions, current trends & exceptional producers. This course is a partnership between the Northwest Wine Academy & the Wine Scholar Guild, and through this course, students will have the opportunity to take the Italian Wine Scholar Certification exam, and achieve the prestigious IWS post-nominal. *Representative wines will be sampled in every class.
